have you ever met a celebrity "in the wild"?

Who and where?

According to my mom, Patty Heaton briefly ran in my parents' then-social circle when I was a baby, and used to play with bby me sometimes. I don't remember this, but I don't doubt it as a couple other people we still keep in touch with have confirmed it.

I met John Cleese at Disneyland (he was taking his kid there, not in a show or anything)

I haven't, but I live in a small seaside town so I feel like my chances are pretty slim, haha. My dad told me a story about how he went to a restaurant with his parents when he was little, and Tom Jones sat at the table next to them. His parents started freaking and my dad, being a kid and having no idea who Tom Jones was, was instead intensely fascinated by the curls of butter on their table. Bless him.

Lady Di and Prince Harry in the West End. I was, like, two, so heck if I know.

Also, my parents were neighbors Perry Como's son (I think it was Ronnie?). I don't know if Perry ever came to visit, but the son was pretty reclusive. Very nice, though.

My neighborhood is also prone to athletes renting houses. Most recently, Alcides Escobar. He was a very quiet neighbor, except when he was on the phone, which was loudly and at the end of the driveway. He rented for two seasons, and the first one he had the most HIDEOUS gold car. It was gold like a Zelda cartridge was gold. His car the next season was super low key in comparison. XD

I don't know if you can call outside a stage door 'in the wild' but Ian McKellen. Damn, that man has charisma like no one else I've ever met.

Patrick Stewart is a sweetheart. Met on the streets of a city in my country.

Lamest celeb encounter : I once saw Andrew Lloyd Weber eating a jacket potato in a posh restaurant.

Sweaty sweaty wolverine jogging on a beach. A fair few athletes and bands at the airport because the airport staff give no fucks and make them go through main security and wait at the gates with the commoners. Had to stand behind Ruby Rose in a bag check line for nearly an hour.

I just came across photos someone took of my fave actor and his family looking tired and rumpled in the security line. and probably aware that someone was "secretly" taking their picture. So awkward.

I rang up Nicholas Cage at the Borders where I worked.

I haven't actually "met" many celebs. But I've been on set with plenty.

Um...Kevin Smith, Teri Hatcher, and Jennifer Beals have said words to me, so I guess I kind of "met" them.

I did actually chat with Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco on The Flash. He's not really a "celeb" but I'm sure he has fans. He was really nice, and he had a lot of charisma in front of the camera. Most actors seem really flat until post-production cuts it all together and adds a soundtrack, but Carlos didn't feel flat when it was just him without all that jazz.

I walked right past Elijah Wood on the set of Dirk Gently and didn't even realize it was him until I was practically passed him. He was tiny. Quite a bit smaller than he comes off on screen.
