I just don't get the double standard AT ALL. Fine, you don't like reading about het, FINE. I WON'T MAKE YOU. But stop, for the love of all that is good and holy, STOP telling me why you think Squall/Seifer or Cloud/Zack is OMG SO MUCH BETTER. That's your opinion, it is NOT MINE, and no matter how many times you rant about it, you're not going to magically change my mind and make me think that ANY ONE OF THOSE GUYS should really be slashed instead of hetted (lol new word!). It's just not happening.

MINE'S BETTER OMG DETH 2 Ukidding. :( I have a fantastic record of not getting along with Squall/Rinoa fans, but that's only because they can't see my side of things. DSFHSDJK BUT LOL THIS IS NOT THE SUBJECT RIGHT NOW. It really is hard to find Seifer/Rinoa fic — even more so than usual; I mean, fuck, I'm the author of most of them ._. — because Seifer's obviously too busy banging Squall or Zell to pay attention to a beautiful girl like Rinoa. :')I know, right? :( I mean, the same thing happens in het, too, really! And belieeeeeve me, I'd love to convert everyone to Seifer/Rinoa — or at least make them appreciate it — but... it's hard. And I try not to force it on people (though considering my ambitious attitude, it undoubtedly comes across as such XD). I guess if they don't like it, they don't like it. This General can't win that one, but she can go and battle her Seifer/Rinoa plotbunnies! \o/
But that said ... bawww, why can't everyone just play nice? Even if they're boiling with rage underneath it all? :D;

secretly 'ship Irvine/Rinoa. So trust me, I am NOT hardcore about this at all. (Yes, they are Squall/Rinoa is my OTP, but I'm FLEXIBLE. Rinoa's my fave character pretty much EVER, I just want her happy. XD) And I hate 'ship wars, so I will never be a hater. ;)
I think I've read a couple of your fics, actually! I thought they were quite good! I'm really intrigued by the whole Seifer/Rinoa relationship anyway, so it's always fun to see it expanded upon. The only thing that reallllly bothers me is when someone gets bashed in the name of a 'ship. That's the only time my bristles come out. ;) (And funnily enough, that seems to happen a lot in slash. THE GIRLS GET BASHED FOR HAVING VAGINAS.)

ANYWAY ... lol I ship Rinoa/Irvine too, a little bit. Do want more fics of them. :( However, my Rinoa pairing of choice if not Seifer/Rinoa is TOTALLY Zell/Rinoa ... omg, how obvious was it that he had a crush on her? :) It was SO CUTE! As for Squall... I UH SHIP HIM WITH QUISTIS MOSTLY, but he and Selphie? Totally have potential. I mean, throughout the entire game you were actually given the CHOICE to respond positively or negatively to her! :) And talk about your polar opposites / opposites attract; those two are perfect examples of it, moreso than — I'm sorry! — Squall/Rinoa.

lol, I know. "U HAV A VAG SO U SUK >:(" And the girls also get called "ONE-DIMENSIONAL!!1" and apparently have "NO PERSONALITY!" ...k, w/e. Look, Quistis and Rinoa are my faves from FF8, Tifa is my fave from FF7, and Dagger and Freya are my faves from FF9. As far as I can tell, they did in fact have personality, and they had development. I was kinda miffed about Rinoa's, though, I must admit; I liked her badassery pre-Deling City, but then they made her too vulnerable, to the point where she needed Squall's approval for nearly everything. And I understand vulnerability! That's part of who she is! But to have to depend on everyone else... come on. :( I was upset because I felt like I could relate with her up until that point!

Yeah, see, my Squall 'shipping begins and ends with Rinoa. I just cannot see him with anyone else. But that's just me! (And to clarify, the reason I ADORE Squall/Rinoa so much is because they remind me COMPLETELY of my husband and myself. It's really kind of freaky.) But there's no hate here. Everyone likes what they like! Most people think I'm crazy, anyway, so hey! XD
I love (note the sarcasm) how the girls in fandoms have pretty much the same personalities as some of the guys, and the guys are PRAISED for it, but the girls are lynched. LIKE WTF MAKE UP YOUR MIND. Either you like happy/emo/cheerful/cranky/dependent/independent/etc. or you don't. GENDER SHOULDN'T MATTER.

ANYWAY. I know, right? :| Like, seriously — look at... say... Zidane and Tifa. Very much alike in attitude and kickassery (not just saying that because I love them to bits :D). Yet Zidane is loved more basically because he's a guy and Tifa is hated because she's a woman. And Zidane can be paired up with Amarant lol hawt but if Tifa were in that game and people shipped her with Amarant, OMG WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!??!?!
