Fiction =/= reality. Fantasy =/= reality. I'm not saying I understand it myself, but apparently, some people do get off on it. The power struggle, the sub/dom aspect. Then there are people who deal with their own issues through fiction.

any good psychologist will tell you the same fucking thing. you are having fantasies because they're something you want to happen, whether you realize it consciously or not. fantasies don't just happen out of nowhere with no provocation--you think them. you wish them. you live them in your mind because some part of you wants them to be real.

I...actually have to agree with this person. I think they DO get it, and you're not.

I have rape fantasies, and (this is the reason I'm choosing to remain anon, I don't want people to know) I actually kind of do want to be raped for real. I want the trauma.

I also have fantasies about killing people, and I really wish I could kill them...if I knew I could get away with it I would.

So fantasy does equal reality in a lot of cases.

that's because society has more or less force-fed the idea to women that they SHOULD be dominated. it's an unconscious desire because of that.

those women are clearly self-hating and perhaps slightly misogynistic for wanting to be dominated. they are not empowering themselves.

Pity isn't the same thing as love at all. I can see why you'd want to be raped, even if I find it upsetting, but I think that you could achieve the same outcome without going down that path. Rape is such a destructive thing, because all it does it take away. Maybe you could do something hard and painful and horrible that has a positive outcome, like working with stray animals? You'd still get scrapped up and hurt, but it wouldn't be so dangerous, and people would not only feel sorry for you, they'd also admire you. I think you'd get a lot more love that way.
