I can't tell if this is an origina secret, or just my own opinion from general comments reformulated slightly and turned into a secret. Lol.

But anyway, I feel you anon. I wouldn't say I actually decried the series in my teens. I wasn't really outwardly critical of it. But I definite judged it privately. Then I read the first two books in my mid twenties and enjoyed the hell out of them. Not that I think they'd good; they're not. But I don't really care. They're fun, yummy junk food novels.

I also really like the first Twilight movie. Catherine Hardwicke's directing in my jam. The "my own personal brand of heroin" scene makes me cringe from beginning to end and I wish they'd cut almost all of it, but besides that, I genuinely like the movie.

Sadly, I absolutely loathed Eclipse (the book), so my fun kind of ended with the first two. But maybe you'll like it better than I did.
