Re: What is the stupidest way you've hurt yourself?

I was running through the house. My parents told me to stop because I would get hurt. I didn't listen and ran into the living room. I hit the foot rest lever of the recliner near the entryway and sailed across the room. I hit the corner of the brick fireplace hearth with the outside skin part of my right eye. I came very close to loosing my right eye. I went to the ER, got sedated, was strapped to a board, and they had to get two guys to hold me down to do stitches. I have a nice scar from it.

Back when I worked at a library, I was moving a stack of books from the 50 year old wooden check out desk to the cart to go back on the shelf. I caught one of the splinters with my hand and ended up with a nice chunk of wood under my right middle finger nail. I had to go to urgent care to get it surgically removed. At least the library finally got a new desk after that.
