The current crew I'm managing has a collective IQ of about 30 I swear to god. It's a team of five and three of them really have no business even walking around a work site with dangerous machinery let alone operating it, and the other two are both spineless followers who just "go with the flow" even when that flow is risky or illegal.

I'm here to get them up to speed, and honestly I'm just not sure if I can do it. I've literally never had to work with a more collectively incompetent set of employees in my life. Usually in our industry most teams are pretty fucking good, or else you'll have one or two weak links that you can work around. But these guys, they all just fucking suck.

On the bright side, their employer is aware of how much they suck and that's why he hired me on. He had low expectations from the outset so it won't be a problem for me if I can't get them into shape.

I'm trying to keep a sense of humor about it. They're just so BAD, it's like herding cats. Like yesterday I set one of them to monitor a water intake. he was just supposed to watch it for a few minutes and turn the water off when it got full. Literally the simplest fucking task. Turn the valve when the water hits the green line, you know?

I came back five minutes later and the thing's overflowing all over the lot and the dude is nowhere to be found. I tracked him down and asked him wtf and he says got distracted and forgot. Like, man, seriously?
