(Anonymous) 2017-10-27 01:50 am (UTC)(link)Robert Downey Jr was A list (even nominated for an Oscar for Chaplin) then went off the rails for a while then went back to A list. So I would hardly call him D list.
Jeremy Renner (along with other films) came from Hurt Locker, which was the Oscar winning film of which he was the star- hardly 'D' list.
Chris Evans had already been in a bunch of films, including another set of superhero films.
Scarlett Johansen was in a stack of well received films before Marvel.
Ditto Mark Ruffalo. Both were already known and well respected in the industry.
Paul Rudd was a known and respected comedic actor.
Parks and recs was a pretty well known show. I'd argue Chris Pratt wasn't an A lister by any means but he was somewhat known by people.
Ok, agreed with Chris Hemsworth. He was pretty much an unknown before he was cast.
