It's officially time to take out the air conditioner! (It's a window unit.) Last weekend should have been the time, but Saturday was surprisingly warm, so I left it in just in case, then Sunday was rainy and I didn't want to deal with it then.

I did a bunch of clean-up with the plants in the boxes and baskets on the porch lat weekend, but left a lot of things intact because they still looked nice and some things were even still blooming. I might not take out everything this weekend, but I will remove more, and possibly bring in a couple of plants I want to try to keep over winter, since I think we're starting to get frosts or will be very soon. I probably should bring in the porch furniture, too (it all folds up small and can go in the basement - I don't have very elaborate deck furniture.)

Huzzah! Hopefully that means your energy bill will be going down. We usually bring our plants in during the winter but we only have three outdoor ones. Hopefully it actually stays cold where you are (unlike where I am).
