That was a memorable scene in every aspect. Superb acting and a great screenplay. I have looked up the AO3 archive on it today (before reading your secret). I'm looking for fearections: detective/killer chills, and screwed up-seeking comfort in the wilderness detective/detective stuff. Wish me luck!

I do feel bad about the real people and events inspiring the series, but the tv-series is still fiction and fanfiction is too. Actually, I find most fanfiction to be more honest than typical reality-tv crime shows (Making a murderer, etc.) as fanfic is open about being fiction and not pretending to be something more.
