Re: This twitter thread (LGBT and consent)
(Anonymous) 2017-10-31 12:20 am (UTC)(link)but the point is that if you fuck up it's going to be on you
Re: This twitter thread (LGBT and consent)
(Anonymous) 2017-10-31 12:26 am (UTC)(link)Like, I understand personal responsibility, but this is almost borderline, "If two drunk people have sex, it was rape because they couldn't consent." levels of wtf.
Re: This twitter thread (LGBT and consent)
1. Spacey and Rapp were professional colleagues working in New York at the time. Rapp was specifically invited because of the show he performed in. There's no false identity going on here.
2. Even if Rapp had been of the age of majority, the actions of forcibly throwing him onto a bed, and physically climbing on top of him without consent would have been sexual assault anyway.
EDIT: And a lot of adults do, in fact, talk about the kinds of sex we want to have with each other, as part of foreplay no less.

(Anonymous) 2017-10-31 09:12 am (UTC)(link)But this case with Spacey? Not in any way as vague and "he couldn't have known" as you try to make it.
