It might be some people's opinion that Moffat had a good run with DW but the facts are that the stories sometimes contradicted themselves and the ratings were abysmal.

I tend to assume Moffat lovers are American because DW grew in popularity over there with Eleven. But the opinions of Americans are meaningless for BBC shows. They can buy them but they don't fund them. Moffat seemed to forget that.

I'm not au fait with the business practices of the BBC - is it really the case that BBC Worldwide makes no contribution to the BBC budget or production costs?

I understand that the remit of the BBC as an institution is about making stuff for license payers, but that's not quite the same as talking about funding streams, is it?

I really don't get why people lie on then internet when a quick google search shows how full of shit they are.

The first 4 Moffat seasons had the same ratings the RTD ones had, it's only the latest two that dropped. So yeah, sorry to burst your hate bubble, but most people enjoyed most of Moffat's run.

does that apply to the Appreciation Index, or just ratings? too lazy to look

signed,
a hater

(Did they fire him? It looks like he's walking away eventually. I really wanted a scarlet letter of firing shame on him! Yes, I'm a bitter ex-fan of the shows he ran into the ground!)

He left, apparently of his own free will, but the important thing is that his tenure on the show is now in the past tense

(Anonymous) 2017-11-01 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
then he wasn't fired was he

(Anonymous) 2017-11-01 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
He is never going to get *more* fired than he already is. He is at the maximum amount of "fired from Doctor Who" that he will ever reach.

(Anonymous) 2017-11-01 02:28 pm (UTC)(link)
lmao, cry me a river. They hated him and his work soooooo much they gave him another show.

Most of the general public still love him and his work, so he isn't going to be fired by the BBC any time soon, deal with it.
