Which fandoms can you be choosy in? What kind of content do you look for?

Which fandoms will you take anything available? What do you wish there was more of?

I'm picky in big fandoms like Sherlock and will take whatever in small ones. I don't really have any small ones currently, but when I finally got around to watching Interstellar, I was disappointed there wasn't a nice pile of The Further Adventures of Brand and Cooper on Edmunds' Planet fic waiting for me.

MCU, Teen Wolf, and Sherlock let me be choosy because they are so big. I tend to look for Gen fic and hurt/comfort.

Some smaller fandoms I regularly check are Magnificent Seven and various podcast fandoms. I just wish there was more of anything.

Is that the new Mag 7 with Denzel or one of the other ones (or all)?

Are you a fan of Joshua Faraday (the Chris Pratt character)? He is the one I got into. If so, yes.

Any of the characters would be great really but yes, I liked Faraday.

So, all of these are AUs from the end of the movie because that is how fandom is. :P Most are Faraday/Vasquez but as far as I remember don't have explicit sex.

Dumb Luck (gen) http://archiveofourown.org/works/8208632/chapters/18808376 Joshua Faraday is about the luckiest son of a bitch you ever wanna meet.

AKA: Seven Times Josh Cheated Death and Lived to Tell About It.

Luck of the Draw series http://archiveofourown.org/series/575770

It's the late 1800s, and one in four folks out west in the precarious settler communities develops a gift, a unique power that gives them some kind of advantage. Sam Chisolm has enhanced senses. Billy Rocks is damn hard to kill. Goody doesn't have a gift, unless you count being a stone-cold badass when the mood strikes. Vasquez is an empath, Red Harvest controls lightning, and Jack Horne can see the future. Emma Cullen, their new employer, can sometimes raise the dead.

And Faraday? Well, he's harmless, really. He's got his own skills, a bit of this and that. Nothing to worry about.

Or: that one AU where everything is the same, except nobody dies and also they have superpowers.

Hail Those Left Behind http://archiveofourown.org/works/12163269 Vasquez frowns now, as if he's just thought of something he doesn't much care for. "Is this why you've been so difficult lately? All your picking and prodding - always being in things you should not - was it you trying to create a reason for us to leave you behind?"

Melt The Elements verse http://archiveofourown.org/series/610600

"He can count on one hand the number of times he’s used his bending in the twenty years it’s been since his ma died. He learned fairly quickly that it was easier just to pretend he wasn’t a bender, so he taught himself how to fight with guns and lead instead of smoke and sparks."

In which six of the seven are benders and Faraday really, really needs a hug.

Thank you so much for this!

Argh. I don't need another fandom to feel guilty about not writing for, but I feel a clichéd urge to write fic where he survived somehow.

In bigger fandoms like the MCU I'll be a lot picker with fic because there's so much of it. But in smaller fandoms I tend to read anything because there isn't as much to choose from.

I'm generally always after ship-fic of whatever my go-to pairing of the fandom is, I'll read GEN that's recced to me but I don't seek it out myself.
