ER was an hour medical drama that ran from 1994-2009 and also starred Noah Wyle, Anthony Edwards, and Julianna Margulies and a host of other people over time. E/R was a half-hour medical comedy that ran for 1 season in 1984-1985 and starred Elliott Gould and had Mary McDonnell.
