It's cute that you think they would include the gimmicky "omg so genderfluid uwu" version of him in the movies if Hiddleston's Loki wasn't there anymore.

You mean the version that's actually consistent with the mythology the character is based on? Of course not. MCU is an LGBT-free universe.

Damn, you're dumb. You actually think this whole "he's totes ~genderfluid~, they/them pronouns uwu" is to reflect the mythology more accurately.
Loki is a shapeshifter. This has been a fact in the comics for a long time and nobody argued about it. Going all "look how ~diverse~ I suddenly am with my awesome take on genderfluidity" is the gimmick. Not the fact that the character switches genders, but the fact that they had to make it this "omg so progressive, genderfluidity 101" backpat business.

Also: Yes, the MCU is a largely LGBT free universe. Which sucks, but you have mostly Disney and the Chinese market to thank for that.

It's weird how much glee people take in blaming China for any example of a lack of diversity

Don't know where you get "glee" but sure. In any case, it's not glee, it's a simple fact that China has immense censorship laws combined with a huge market which can make or break a movie financially depending on the content. And it sucks. (Disney is already fairly disinclined to include more diverse characters so you could probably say they use the Chinese market as a convient excuse. But it's not wrong either to mention it.)

You're happy because you get to blame someone non-white.

Keep reaching a little more, you can almost touch Mars from where you are.
