(Anonymous) 2017-11-03 03:31 am (UTC)(link)The LOTR movies weren't perfect at all, but they had things I liked. The Hobbit movies were just really weird as an adaptation, especially the fact that they stretched it into three movies when it wasn't that long. Kinda proves they were just looking to make money. And if the movies are getting progressively worse, that doesn't give me much hope.
And yeah, the movie would probably overtake the book in popularity.
