Hmm... are they not using a mattress pad? Those tufted dimples in the mattress are showing through too much for my taste. I'd find that weird to sleep on.

What's a mattress pad?

(Anonymous) 2017-11-04 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
nayrt

A protective covering that goes over your mattress, but beneath the sheets. Depending on how thick it is, it might or might not hide the "dimples" in a mattress.

Huh. I didn't know that was a regular thing. I have a softy soft mattress topper because my mattress isn't very soft and I have a nerve disorder where even light pressure causes pain, but I didn't know about mattress pads.

They're also a barrier between the sheet and the mattress, to help keep the mattress clean (since it's hard to stuff a mattress into a washing machine). A lot of mattress pads have a plasticized baking so moisture doesn't get through.

I've always had/used a mattress pad - it was just What You Did, ever since I was a kid.

It was What You Did in my family, too. I hate when I'm sleeping at a motel or someone's house and the mattress pad is really thin and I can feel the texture of the mattress. I actually have a memory foam topper on mine and it's perfect.

It looks like super soft bed clothes with regular wrinkles to me.

I'm not even a big slash shipper but that show should've just went for it. It would've made much more sense than everything that happened after season one.

When a female love interest gets shoehorned into a show after a healthy slash fandom already took root, there's a depressingly high chance she was written in solely to try and validate the characters' heterosexuality. If you (especially you as someone who isn't a slash fan) get the feeling she's being used to no homo her paramour... she probably is. :(

(Anonymous) 2017-11-04 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just curious sort of... what your evidence is for that

(Anonymous) 2017-11-04 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Found a monkey's paw and wished for infinite knowledge. Unfortunately, it just gave me infinite knowledge about fannish things.

(Anonymous) 2017-11-04 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a tough break, anon. Hang in there.

(Anonymous) 2017-11-04 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL!

(Anonymous) 2017-11-05 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
And then you went mad.

(Anonymous) 2017-11-04 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
why is the one guy so fat

who are the actors?

(Anonymous) 2017-11-04 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
They both look perfectly normal...
comma_chameleon: (Why?!)

[personal profile] comma_chameleon 2017-11-04 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
What? I mean... nope... just... what? Which of the guys could even possibly be considered fat?!
tabaqui: (Default)

[personal profile] tabaqui 2017-11-04 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
You mean, the guy with his arm awkwardly down in front of his belly so he's not *quite* touching the girl's ass?

He's not fat, he's just poorly positioned.

(Anonymous) 2017-11-04 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed. I think his left arm is placed awkwardly on his right leg, which is bent and hard to see because it's under the sheets.

(Anonymous) 2017-11-04 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Actors: Landon Liboiron (Peter) and Bill Skarsgard (Roman)

(Anonymous) 2017-11-05 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
And the actress?

(Anonymous) 2017-11-04 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I mean, I agree with your opinion on Miranda.

I just want to say that it was not their idea to kill Letha off. The first season was based on a book and she died there too... and I suspect (correct me if I'm wrong) that the second and third season weren't planned from the beginning.

Side note: I still haven't and likely never will watch the third season. Am so glad I spoiled myself, cause I'd probably have thrown something.
Like, usually I'm pretty realistic when it comes to knowing that my slash ships will never be canon... but I actually had hope for this one. :(

(Anonymous) 2017-11-05 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
To be fair, this is a universe with werewolves, vampires, that flying lizard guy, and a mad scientist lab who revived Roman's sister and made her into a weird human glowing hybrid giant, and then grew her a new body in a tank. Bringing one girl back from the dead is entirely possible, if they wanted.

(Anonymous) 2017-11-05 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
SA

True. I guess them having sex with a zombie Letha would have actually fit the show, too. *shrugs* I just meant that it was not their idea she died... just that she remained dead I guess. XD (Well, Letha was definitely the better character, no question!)
