I tried making roasted potatoes and they did not turn out as good as I wanted.

It's chilly and rainy and I feel fully justified staying indoors.

Started my period and my cramps are horrible. I am stalling on my resume writing because websites are all giving me conflicting info. And I can't figure out what should go in my Qualifications Summary vs under my job responsibilities. And it has been so dreary today which is not helping.

I'm sick and my body hurts. The exterminator came over today (he regularly comes once a month to spray) and was like, 'Hey did you just wake up?' x.x Like no, I was awake for two hours prior to your coming but thanks for the reminder of how shitty I feel. xD

I did manage to mop though. =)

I'm also trying to do some writing for NaNo before I go play some kind of game (prob Town of Salem) to help keep me awake for a few more hours. *yawns*

Still sick. Have been laying in bed all day. Spent a bunch of time buying new dragons on Flight Rising.

What happened with the potatoes?

Went out to see Thor: Ragnarok again with the bf, ate food at a restaurant afterwards then came back to piss about on the internet and look at any Blizzcon news.

Pretty decent. I spent too much grocery shopping, but I found a lot of new products I haven't tried before (including gluten free pumpkin spice donuts that were amazing). It was also just warm enough to go for a walk. Other than that, I've spent most of today reading.

I road tested my brand new tires, refilled my Starbucks card, had a sandwich and tomato soup at a cheese shop, tried my damndest to ignore my parent’s Hallmark channel addiction, made swordfish for dinner, and had a small amount of chocolate for dessert.

I'm a ball of stress tonight because I have to work with the guy at work who hates me tomorrow. My boss has been a star in trying to make sure we don't overlap shifts but it was unavoidable this week. Trying to drink myself calm because the idea of another afternoon of being treated like utter shit is making me ridiculously anxious. :/

Pretty good! I'm having a bad pain day, but I still managed to go and get a hair cut. I tried a different style this time and it turned out really well! Then I went to Game Stop and paid a little more on my Pokemon Ultra Moon preorder, then hit the barn to check on my horse, as I haven't seen him in a while due to my mom almost dying last weekend (she's doing much better, but she's still really sore and tired). Anyway, he's doing well, as is the barn kitty, Deuce (formerly known as Medusa). So, yeah. All in all I can't complain too much.

Ah, I'm glad to hear your mum is doing better! That sounded terrifying. Did the doctors manage to find out what caused it in the end?

Her coumadin levels were sky high due to her blood thinners, and so her blood wouldn't clot. She was super close to bleeding out; if we'd waited even a few more hours to get her to the hospital, she would not have made it through the weekend. They gave her some transfusions and a ton of vitamin K to stop the bleeding, and she was able to come home on Monday, to the great relief of everyone. The worst part is that we practically had to beg her to let us take her to the ER even then, because she didn't want to saddle us with the medical bills. Seriously, fuck the American health care system.

On a slightly related note, I'm still super pissed off at my BFF's new husband, because at her Halloween party on Tuesday he said that healthcare is a privilege and not a right, and that if you can't afford medical care then you don't deserve it. And yes, he said it knowing full well what had just happened and what our financial situation is. To top it off, this was right after he'd bragged about how he was able to buy his house and everything in it because black people constantly break the law (he's a lawyer). Yeah, I kind of went off on him a bit (as well as the rest of her family, who were all on his side), and I haven't heard from my friend since. Hope she still is my friend...

I had a root canal yesterday, cramps today, and worked a full shift. On the plus side, my supervisor bought us all lunch from Popeye's.
