Agreed. Also authors who seem to have confidence enough to say something will sometimes be bullied with accusations of being "full of them selves" until they're insecure enough to consider it.

It's a no win situation for author's honestly. Either you're full of "unwarranted ego" and "can't take criticism" or you're weak and didn't stand your ground.
