Yeah, and I think it's kind of made unclear in the encouragement of using a beta that you're not exactly supposed to take everything as scripture, and if they always expect you to they're not a very well-meaning beta reader. It sucks that in the current apathy and laziness about writing quality on the rise that there is also this lateral culture that tries to send writers the message that it's always egotistical if not somehow entitled to like what you wrote even if you're seeking out a second opinion and, like...*throws up hands*
