Really? I guess it sounds hyperbolic, but I assumed OP's point was that there's little benefit to giving in to people who are trying to bully you. Once intimidation and bullying comes into play, BOOM, you're done. No more trying to appease the beta or letting them have their way, because this person has shown you that they're not a reasonable person. They're not interested in compromise, and if you give them an inch, they'll take a mile.
