It's interesting how that dynamic changes depending on the audience, yeah. Like, the target demographic definitely has no memories of Pina Colada as a song that's not an oldie already. And I think that gives the song a certain, like, ironic ridiculousness that the movie takes advantage of - but that feeling might be totally different for you.
