My kingdom for an insecure writer who is open to feedback. I've found that everyone I beta for has been a nightmare.

Me: Don't do that, it's fantastically sexist.
Writer: *does that, adds author's note* My beta, who's a FEMALE, said it was fine, so I'm not sexist.

Me: Referring to everyone as "the brown-haired boy", in a cast full of white guys with brown hair is really confusing, you should use their names a bit more often.
Writer: *changes over to "the brown-eyed boy" - and eye colour is up for debate in fandom, so it's even more confusing*

Me: I'm not here to answer queries on how to use AO3 or ff.net.
Writer: *constantly bugs me if either site is down/slow/has issues/won't upload*

Three separate writers in the same fandom. I have quit beta'ing for strangers after this.
