144. *waves* I love the princesses. Always have. Heck, Belle was a great inspiration for me - she showed me you can be feminine and still love to learn. I grew up studying every book on science I could get my hands on. Based on my own merits, I got myself into a world-class institute and earned a degree in engineering. Along the way, I fell in love. I didn't wait for my prince or anything. I just happened to find him in the course of my studies. Doesn't change that I made myself. I chose my path, I fought to get there, I worked my ass off to make it through. And if you can't understand that people are not defined by the characters they like, and that not all people take the same lessons away from the same things, YOU need to grow up.

I agree completely with your comment. Not all people are affected by the same things, learn the same lessons. It's unfair to judge someone based only on something like that. THAT is the most childish f!secret ever.

Fuck yes. The princesses (and a good helping of the Nancy Drew stories Dad read to me as a kid ;D) helped me become comfortable with myself, my interests, my flaws, and a ton of other things. And then there was Helga Sinclair but we'll not go into her XD

Oh gosh, Nancy Drew! Same here. My dad gave me his Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books, and they definitely encouraged me to embrace my curiosity.

Helga, huh? I'm a mechie, so I was always more of an Audrey fan. XD

Haha, I ran around the house as a little girl trying to solve "mysteries." Never got much into Hardy Boys, but I wanted Nancy's sweet convertible. But I never understood what the point of a boyfriend was or why someone as COOL as Nancy would have one (seeing as how GROSS boys were when I was that age) XD

Helga mostly because she was a True Badass and I thought she was kinda hot :D;;
