Dude you are SO NOT ALONE. I have always, ALWAYS spent like... every minute of mental downtime which I have daydreaming/telling myself stories and fantasizing and stuff. I never even realized it was weird until, oh, a couple of years ago, and I've felt like a freak ever since -- but at the same time I've had that exact same "... but what do people THINK about all the time?! o_o" outlook XD

I've done that as far back as I can remember. Epic, intricate stories about my favorite characters, books, movies, fics. It's what gets me to sleep at night, and it takes up all the time I don't need to think about other things. If I couldn't fall back on my internal stories, I'd probably be a neurotic mess.

Like you, I felt a bit weird when I realized other people don't do this. But you know what? I feel sorry for them, thinking about laundry, or lunch or whatever it is they think about all day, when they could be constructing a grand, elaborate fantasy in their head. It must be so dull.

101. I daydream to epic proportions, and it did actually used to be about my OTP but now tends to be about anything and everything. Recently it's been fantasies of being offered really low entry grades for my dream University, haha. So yeah, other people do it too :)

I dunno, I think I'd have a hard time putting one above the other, mainly because Men In Tights was a parody of the old Robin Hood stories and movies while the Disney version was more a homeage.
