Typical misreading of fairytales bullshit from a so called "feminist" with nary a thought of their own. Shockingly, whether the influence of Disney princesses is positive or negative (and all fairytale princesses) depends on what you, personally, draw from their stories. The women in that picture have just as many admirable traits as they do problematic, like every "rolemodel" out there.

I wouldn't be the confident person I was today if it wasn't for the fairytales my mom and dad used to read me.

144. *waves* I love the princesses. Always have. Heck, Belle was a great inspiration for me - she showed me you can be feminine and still love to learn. I grew up studying every book on science I could get my hands on. Based on my own merits, I got myself into a world-class institute and earned a degree in engineering. Along the way, I fell in love. I didn't wait for my prince or anything. I just happened to find him in the course of my studies. Doesn't change that I made myself. I chose my path, I fought to get there, I worked my ass off to make it through. And if you can't understand that people are not defined by the characters they like, and that not all people take the same lessons away from the same things, YOU need to grow up.

There are no shipping wars in Gurren-Lagann. Simon never showcased any interest in anyone but Nia and viceversa, Viral was completely uninterested in a romantic relationships with anyone in the cast, Yoko and both Kamina or Kittan were both straightforward relationships with no way around, Rossiu was barely interested in Kinon herself and everyone else was too minor to be serious object of shipping. Any other shipping would be completely crack, people know that so there are no wars.
