119. While shipping wars are horrifically annoying, people will ship who they want to ship, regardless of whether or not there's a 'canon' love-interest for the characters in question. For a lot of people, fanfiction and pairings aren't about expanding the canon as it is, but rather it's about exploring different ideas and scenarios.

Say, if Kamina and Viral were to suddenly explore some sort of sexual relationship (don't ask me how, LOL). The chemistry between the two of them is such that it might make for an interesting read.

144. You know, I can see your point, but maybe people like the characters simply because... they like them? I can think of quite a few characters I like that I don't identify with.

Also... why do people only ever see one side of the coin? Does anyone ever stop to think about what Belle did for the Beast? He may have saved her from her mundane life, but she gave him the ability to be human, regardless of form. I personally think she's a very strong character.

Uh, and those are my thoughts on yaoi Disney princesses. :Db

102 -> HELL YES SPEED RACER SECRET! The only movie I saw before Speed Racer was Iron Man and I still liked Speed Racer the best. It's been my favourite movie of the summer by far. Prince Caspian and Iron Man do come in a very close second though. :3

144 -> I do have to disagree with you. Liking a character does not mean OMG I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE THEM. And as far as the whole "princess waiting to be rescued," thing, well they are just fairy tales. I love those characters because they remind me of my childhood, my innocence and a time when I was still able to look at the world and still believe in magic.
