I'm technically a millennial, a really early one, but was raised by people who grew up either getting bombed or during the Great Depression, so it's never been idealism and "reach for the moon!" It's been "You never know when things are gonna go arse-up, that's why we have a drawer full of sugar packets and all our grocery bags going back twenty years. Also, go into accounting. It's stable."
