Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer is a classic favorite for me.

I don't have any opinions on worst, but there have certainly been a lot of unmemorable ones. I think videos that cost a ton of money but didn't do anything innovative and aren't very memorable are particularly bad because you spent all this money on something that doesn't help sell the song and isn't even very entertaining. There was a Mariah Carey video like that.

best:

rem - everybdoy hurts (a far better video than a song tbh)
new order - true faith
fatboy slim - weapon of choice
coldplay - life in technicolour ii
sinead o'connor - nothing compares 2 u

worst:

any lyric video that can be farted out by somebody with adobe premier in ten minutes (SKYFALL, most of the ed sheeran rush off the divide album that came out as singles before proper videos could be made)
britney spears - oops i did it again (she can't act)
christina aguilera, lil kim, mya and pink - lady marmalade (four very attractive women, three not particularly flattering outfits - pink kinda works)
drake - hotline bling (dat sweater)

Honestly, I think Pink is a lot more attractive than Christina or Lil' Kim, and a better singer than Mýa.

I really liked Weird Al Yankovic's Amish Paradise and Smells Like Nirvana. And there's Aha's Take On Me. And Fatboy Slim's Weapon of Choice with Christopher Walken dancing in a hotel lobby is something else. Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up video's ending just makes the video.

I never liked the Devo one for Whip It. There are a couple of Milli Vanilli videos that are just terrible.

Take Me To Church by Hozier

Riptide by Vance Joy

Blank Space by Taylor Swift

I really love all three of these, each for completely different reasons. Though I will say that Hozier's vid is head and shoulders above the others imo.
