I don't wear makeup for a couple of reasons. I think overall my skin is better because I don't, tbh. Not perfect, but perfectly OK skin. I sometimes wonder if people who talk about how horrible their skin is without makeup wouldn't find MASSIVE improvements if they gave up makeup for a time and tried letting their pores breathe, not slathering chemicals on their faces, etc. There are some big problems with makeup. It's not particularly regulated for safety, tbh. Some people start wearing it very young because it's cool and interesting...putting tons of stuff on their faces and having skin issues but not connecting the two at any point. I'm not saying it's always the case, but there is absolutely nothing healthy about makeup. Nothing positive for your skin.
