As someone who has a job and a house and healthcare and enough to eat and everything, I’d change the expectation that the basics of a comfortable life have to be earned. Everyone deserves food, shelter, clothes, education, healthcare, and to be free of abuse. Work should only be required if people want fancy clothes or a fancy house or money for hobbies, not because they’ll die of ill-health, exposure, starvation, or of violence from family or a significant other that they can’t afford to leave if they don’t.
