Re: Controversial/Unpopular Opinions

Ugh...I live in a country with a female head of state, and I work for a company where almost 90% of the staff is female.

Female bosses, female owners, female department heads, female group leaders...let me tell you, they are not doing a better job. Women are just as human and flawed as men, and they can be just as ruthless in positions of power.

Only the way they're going on about that can be a bit different. There's a lot more backstabbing going on here, whispering smear campaigns, and manipulating other people's emotions. It's a work environment where nobody can trust anyone, and if the pay wasn't so good, I would have left a long time ago.

As it is, I'm one of the female workers trying to be quiet and not get noticed too much by the other women.

Rwanda. Men destroyed everything. Women are the ones picking up the pieces.

I agree with you that women can act just as badly as men, though I don't think that necessarily goes against OP's arguments. those women bosses you've had have been socialized in a system that prioritizes men and male qualities-- there's no way of knowing that a women-lead world would prioritize those same qualities. in other words, an aggressive, assholish boss who "gets things done" might not be promoted to being a boss in the first place in a women-lead world, or would not be socialized that aggression is the answer to one's issues in a women-lead world. it's a very chicken or egg thing, but it's worth considering that the terrible women you may know have also been raised in a terrible patriarchal society.
