Second of all, I don't follow Pokemon at all, but that definitely looks like a very Lovecraftian, eldritch-horror-from-beyond-the-stars Pokemon right there

It's an Ultra Beast, and they're supposed to be both 1. literally from another dimension and 2. very alien and not like other Pokemon. :) Xurkitree is one of my favorite UBs, it's just so cool and different and weird.

Same here. Xuriktree and Pheromosa are my favorite of the UBs, partly because of how cool they look, but partially because they're so easy to name. My Xuriktrees are Hotwire and Livewire, while my Pheromosas are Madonna, Vogue, Glamour and Fashion.
