Breakfast food any time of day, yes or no?

What do you like/not like about breakfast food at times other than breakfast? What's your favorite breakfast food?

Yes. I love eating breakfast for dinner. I especially love waffles (with chocolate chips) and bacon.

Yes! I LOVE breakfast food and my favorites are Denver omelettes, and steak and eggs over easy with hash browns!

Yes. Pancake dinners are the best. Also breakfast crepe dinners. And I could eat breakfast tacos at any time of the day.

All day, every day!

I'm not really a fan of breakfast for dinner, actually. Not that there's anything improper about it, it's just not what I'm craving most of the time. If anything I'm more likely to have lunch or dinner food for breakfast than vice versa.

Also I kind of hate pancakes. Very rarely good, not at all satisfying, wildly overrated (unless you have authentic maple syrup to put on them).

Favorite breakfast foods if I'm going out for breakfast, I like a lot of different things. Different kinds of omelettes, or eggs with bacon or sausage. I think toast is a really important component of breakfast and I think hashbrowns / potatoes are an *incredibly* important part of breakfast - really good hashbrowns or O'brien potatoes are probably the highlight of a good breakfast for me. Give me those things and I'm pretty well settled. I also like a simple breakfast sandwich if it's well done - not too fancy. Another good thing if it's well done is a Hangtown fry - very decadent.

I've gotten weird about this in my old age - I feel like in the morning I have to eat breakfast food (even if I've been up all night at work.) I'll sometimes eat breakfast food in the evening if I'm out, but not at home.

I think part of it is that the breakfast food I tend to eat isn't all that healthy so I don't want to have it for two meals in a day.

I don't like to have non-breakfast food at breakfast either but I have no idea why not.

I love having a solid, heavy breakfast for dinner. Thick-cut bacon, fried eggs, fried tomato, toast with marmite, hashbrowns or potato cakes, and a cup of coffee.

Recently I found that one of the chain sandwich shops does breakfast, and they have the most amazing thing: It's a maple-blueberry roll sandwich with an egg, a maple sausage patty, and sharp cheddar. It tastes like a blueberry pancake sausage wrap and it is freaking AMAZING.

Absolutely! I love egg sandwiches so much. I'm less into pancakes/french toast/waffles/muffins or anything that just feels like carbs and sugar, but add egg... better yet, egg and avocado, make it a sandwich (in a croissant, bagel, or delicious crusty bread), and you have a perfect food.

And also, non-breakfast foods for breakfast. Especially leftovers. Cold pizza, etc.

cold pizza is the greatest

I like how easy it is to pour cereal into a bowl when I'm tired.

I'm not sure if I have a real love for any breakfast food. Cooked breakfast is a special occasion sort of thing here. I like hash browns and pancakes and egg muffins but I don't want them often or at the same time. Massive plates of cooked breakfast foods all served together have always horrified me a bit.

I've had fry-ups for dinner so yeah I'm good with eating breakfast food whatever time of the day.

Not sure about favourite breakfast foods though, I do like American-style pancakes but I think that's more because they're tricky to get over here, and eggs of any kind but especially scrambled are tasty.

What do I like about breakfast food at times other than breakfast? The fact that it's fucking delicious.

Since when has breakfast food been exclusively for breakfast? Seriously, I live in nyc where you can eat damn near whatever you whatever time of the day. o.o;

That aside, I'm a sucker for sandwiches of all kind and blts and bacon/egg/cheese and anything on a bagel are free reign for me whenever the mood strikes. Also, cereal seems to be a thing my entire family will eat at any time of the day - cereal at breakfast though? Doesn't seem to make sense to us for some reason. xD

I love breakfast food any time of day. :D I like pretty much most breakfast foods. Everything but grits and breakfast sausage.

I like breakfast food for lunch or dinner. Best part is that you're awake enough to cook all the elaborate stuff.

Probably my favorite... I have very fond memories of my mother making Eggs ala Goldenrod as a kid, I should try and make it myself some day. (I know she probably just used the Better Crocker recipe)

Oh I always love it when I decide to have a bit of Breakfast for dinner.

Favorite Breakfast food? Sausage Biscuit and scrambled eggs.

In general, I don't like eating breakfast food at any other time besides breakfast. Like diners or restaurants that do all day breakfast? I appreciate those places, but I rarely order breakfast for dinner. On the other hand, every once in a great while I do feel like having waffles or pancakes for dinner but I make them at home.

Faves:

corned beef hash
pancakes/waffles
runny eggs and hashbrowns

Eggs are wonderfully versatile. I had some tonight with homemade guac.

Savory breakfast foods like bacon, sausage, eggs, and hashbrowns, I would say sure, any time of the day works for me.

Sweet breakfast foods like pancakes, waffles, cereal, poptarts, etc, I would say no, my brain only likes the idea of those foods in the morning.

It is always time for a Belgian waffle. And as long as it's before 19:00, eggs are completely acceptable as a side dish.

Honestly I just wish restaurants would do the reverse, too. I'm not really a fan of breakfast food period, so I HATE having to eat out in the morning. (Or being awake at all, so needing to grab a bite and only having food I hate available is just adding insult to injury.)

Maybe it's my age, or my terrible sleep patterns, or growing up with breakfast cereals and the occasional Sunday pancake dinner, but I totally think breakfast foods for dinner is valid.

Because of my confused sleep patterns I have trouble classifying things as "breakfast foods". Scrabbled eggs on toast for dinner? I do it. Porridge for dinner? Yes. First meal after I get up being chicken soup or chicken wings, or stirfry? I do that. Takeaway sushi breakfast on a clock-early shopping day? I totally do that.

Anything is breakfast if you eat it for breakfast, anything is lunch or dinner if you eat it for lunch or dinner.

Growing up, my family pretty much ate whatever any time of day unless we were at a restaurant or something, but more in a dinner for breakfast than breakfast for dinner way. Now sometimes I’ll have pancakes for dinner or something, but I’m more likely to have stirfry or veggie soup for breakfast.
