WHISK. You've got to WHISK it.

But usually you add it to a hot liquid and then whisk rapidly and it should break up all the clumps. But I have never microwaved cocoa so I don't know if it is not working because of that.

Can I whisk with a fork? I don't want to dirty my whole kitchen up for one cup of cocoa.

You can whisk with a fork to some degree if you get the right angle. Actual whisks have a little more... reach? I guess is the best way for me to describe it.

Next time you're in a place that sells a lot of kitchenware, pick up a mini-whisk. They're like $2. Then you don't have to use any other utensils or containers :)

Yesss! I have this uber tiny whisk, I love it. Great when I'm doing egg washes and small things too.
