What characters' outfits are part of the appeal (or lack) for you?

I love the Star Trek 24th century uniforms. They help me get into the mindset of a futuristic military/exploring feel.

Darken Rahl's crimson robes and skirt on Legend of the Seeker. Also Kahlan's costumes (all of them). And the Mord Sith leathers. And Richard's tight pants. That show had so much pretty. The costumes were great.

I don't love all of the Middle Earth movies or like every parts of it. But the costumes are stunning and help me get into the whole fantasy/mythological past feel. Plus, so much is just so pretty. The elven robes are gorgeous.

I play FFX-2 just for the dresspheres if that counts.

For the longest time I've wanted Hagane's long red coat.

I still do, really.

I'm a costume drama addict, so anything with super elaborate get-ups are my thing. The more cumbersome-looking/impractical, the better

I love Saul Goodman's suit/tie combos. I've known a few men who dressed similarly IRL and it's always the same kind of man who does it. It's amusing.

I don't really notice outfits that much? Like, I love seeing an actor in nicely tailored clothes but that is just me being shallow.

I do like seeing how superhero's costumes change from movie to movie.

Hux and Obi-wan
Not only does Hux look sharp but the fabric is so shiny. Obi-wan in the prequels has sleeves that I just want to touch. They look so soft and comfortable.

Anything featuring period military uniforms is a big old heap of "aw yiss" for me

Easy Company in their tiny running shorts is one of my favourite things :)

Spike on Buffy. Ruff.

Jayne's hat that his mommy knit for him.

With the exception of like one outfit (that, ironically, is the one getting a Forces of Destiny doll), every single one of Padme's outfits in any medium of the Prequels was outstanding.

Of course her Queen Amidala one is my favorite.

I always loved Maria Bjornson’s designs for The Phantom of the Opera, but I never realized just how much they contribute to the feel of the show until the 2004 movie and a bunch of non-replica productions came out.

All of the costumes in the LoTR and Hobbit movies are amazing, like really hats off the designers they did such a fantastic job.

All of Kahlan's outfits in LoTS, just, damn lady. Dayum.

Hela's skintight black onesee is a big Yes from me, it's kinda stupid but I do not care. She looks goooood.

I love every outfit Magnus has ever worn in the show, but especially when he's dressed in blue, he looks damn fine in blue.

I really like the ST:ToS outfits for women because of the mini-skirt part to them, I like legs and I am weak.

Also if a female character is wearing a long ballgown that covers her legs fully but shows off her collarbones/arms and neck, yes.

I don’t watch Once Upon a Time anymore, but I love Eduardo Castro’s costumes for the show, and now that they’ve hired someone else for season 7 (but probably also cut the costume budget) a lot of the new costumes look cheap and badly tailored. I still want Rumple’s season 1 crocodile coat and boots, a couple of Regina’s riding outfits, and almost all of Belle’s costumes.

All of the Twelfth Doctor's outfits own my soul but this one is my favorite. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/49/f8/fa/49f8fa517f6c10fa01c1c2ea086e622e.jpg

Cat's outfits on Red Dwarf!

Link’s traditional green tunic. It’s just been ingrained in my mind as a part of the Zelda lore.

Re: Outfits

I love seeing clothes from different time periods, especially more accurate reproductions.

On a different note, I stopped watching the show after a couple of seasons, but Dean Winchester's perpetual jeans, jacket, boots look is something I see as very wearable and it's probably the closest to how I dress IRL of any character I've seen.

Wynonna and Waverly from Wynonna Earp depending on the episode.

I love tv series that show characters wearing clothes more than once in different combinations. It's always seemed more authentic to me than, say, teenagers with part time jobs and single mothers owning an endless wardrobe of designer clothes.

In general I think the costuming for the LOTR films were better, but Thranduil's wardrobe in the Hobbit movies is so gosh darn pretty. I love almost anything with flowing robes and capes!

Re: Outfits

Scully and Mulder's boxy 90's business suits and loose trenchcoats.

Will Graham's wool fisherman sweaters, humble plaid button-ups, tweed, and low-key trousers. (Also, the way his style transitioned in late S2 and early S3.) And Hannibal Lecter's suits, which often would have been ostentatious if Hannibal didn't wear them to perfection, but which always managed to seem impeccably chosen.

And I did love BBC Sherlock's formal style, and of course his coat. I also loved John's I-don't-gaf style, and especially his jumpers.

A whole list would be too long but just for Thor Ragnarok: I loved Loki's black suit and hated his Sakaar outfit.

Illya Kuryakin (as played by McCallum); suits with tiny 60s ties? yes! occasional lab coat and reading glasses? yeeeees! black turtlenecks? HELLS TO THE YES.

I love Legolas', Arwen's, and Boromir's outfits in the LotR movies.
