tl;dr version: there was a McHanzo fanzine in the works, and the girl running it pretty much completely co-opted the funds (to the tune of roughly $1,200) and ran off with them. Like, paid her own bills and bought a bunch of Voltron merch. There have been vague promises of paybacks, but nothing's come of it yet.
