I don't think he's a particularly good actor.

I haven't seen him in particularly challenging material but so far IA.

I thought he was good in The Night Manager.

Not as good as Olivia Colman and Hugh Laurie, but he was able to hold his own.

But other than that, I've only seen him in Marvel stuff.

I agree.

He also ages fast, and not gracefully. It's whatever irl, but when playing a god, every installment it takes you out of the fantasy.

Yeah, because gods have to be played by squeaky clean post-teens. Even when said gods, in the actual comic, are often visibly to QUITE visibly older.

/shrug I'm not a huge fan, but he acquitted himself well in the things I've seen. If you can do superhero flick villain, good guy turned ruthless spy and brooding gothic hero, I figure that's pretty decent.
