I lean more towards “realistic” dragons myself too! Also love it when creators for for some unconventional dragons like this artist’s work I’ve seen depicting fruit dragons.

I like all the different realistic ways people have come up for how dragons can breathe fire. My favorite is having two organs filled with chemicals that ignite on contact.

Oh man, I love it when creators go into detail explaining how things like breathing fire works!

A series I read said that scaled dragons loved eating coins and gems to keep their scales nice and strong and shiny. And oh, I love it when environments affect the ways a dragon can turn out. Like swamp dragons or tundra dragons, etc.
