Nope, I shipped them passionately and thought their relationship was really interesting. There's always the narrative tendency to pair opposites together, which I understand and often go for. But in Grissom and Sara's case, I really enjoyed that they were fairly similar; two very internal, intellectual, and emotionally wary workaholics.

I liked the pathos and bitter melancholy of their relationship for the long years when it seemed like nothing would ever come of their feelings for each other. And I liked the understated way the show addressed and explored their mentor/mentee relationship, and how it was something they had to work through for a long time before an intimate relationship with each other felt right.
