How was your day?

[personal profile] philstar22 2017-11-24 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
How did you spend your day, whether it was a holiday for you or not?

Spent this morning watching some Chopped. Then we had some issues because turns out the store gave us a giant turkey breast instead of the whole turkey we ordered, so we had to go an exchange it. But it worked out. My dad and I watched X-Men 2 while I played with the cat. Then we ate. Now I'm freeing up space on my Ipod to put Christmas music on.

Too much food. We always make too much food! But my challah bread rolls came out beautifully. There was almost no political talk and it was great to see my sister. :D

Yes, there is always too much food. I haven't been able to touch dessert yet. I filled up on my mom's amazing corn casserole.

Yeah, I just packed some dessert up to eat later. I was feeling full halfway through my meal.

Me too. Maybe I'll get in a piece of pie before I go to bed. But I have to be up at 6am, so I'm planning on crashing soon.

Worked and cleaned. Did some writing. Pretty uneventful day really.

Well, at least you got stuff done. And uneventful can be good.

I'm a Brit, so no turkey for me! Worked for the afternoon, pigged out on some homemade sausage casserole my dad gave me (the man can cook), washed my uniform for tomorrow and now just chilling playing Minecraft with the other half. We know how to live it up.

High five for the Christmas music. I know some people hate it but it's just not Christmas for me without certain albums/songs. But I'm lucky enough to work in a shop where we don't get it piped in through speakers every day, so I don't get sick of it. My dad isn't so lucky, lol.

Oooo, that casserole sounds really good. Yes, I can imagine if it was on every day where you work, you might get sick of it. Though my tastes are pretty varied, so there are all sorts of different things. Lots of classics, but also lots of classical and choral stuff. Even some metal Christmas music.

I'm totally up for recommendations if you have some! Metal Christmas music sounds awesome. When I was growing up the Phil Spector Christmas album was a traditional thing in our house and even after the murder conviction I still have to play it every year. It's like being a kid again.

I did basically nothing today. The Monstrous Bebe was off with her bf at his family's house for Turkey day, the ex has the dog, and it was so nice and *quiet* and relaxing...

I made stuffing (no bird), and pumpkin pie, and tomorrow I go to see my brother. Excellent day!
(I hate this 'holiday', so i am more than happy to mostly ignore it.)

Fairly good.

Not bad. I cooked and drank wine and champagne all day. Thanksgiving dinner was a big hit.

It was very boring!

I saw Coco, which was very good (but maybe bring tissues) and ate a very good restaurant Thanksgiving dinner.

We already had our Thanksgiving celebration early because the rest of my family was going to be out of town.

I've had a super lazy day (online shopping, reading, listening to music, doing random stuff online, and watching videos on my tablet) and now I'm getting ready to make potato salad. I also need to decide if there's anymore Black Friday shopping I need to do, then probably more reading and videos, possibly listening to a podcast and maybe watching some stuff on my DVR.

Tomorrow I need to spend cleaning.

A person on my team was killed at work in the wee hours of the morning and I saw the aftermath. It was horrifying.

Oh my god, I'm so sorry. My thoughts are with you, their family, and the others they worked with. That's horrible.
