I saw an author and a commenter get into an internet slapfight over an update schedule-- commenter asked what the update schedule would be like, author fired back a multi-paragraph rant about how they were publishing this stuff for free and readers should be happy they're getting anything at all, to which the commenter replied that they were diagnosed with some form of cancer and given X months to live, and just wanted to know how likely the story was to be finished/readable in that timeframe.

Weirdest comment-fight I've seen in my whole goddamned life.
