I’ve never been into Superman or had opinions on how he should be portrayed, but seeing him being playful was such an unexpected RELIEF. I can’t explain where that came from.

Yes! He's supposed to be playful! He's not supposed to be grimdark like Man of Steel and Batman V. Superman tried to make him!

Yeah. Of all the big three, Supes is really NOT the grimdark one. Or not supposed to be, anyway.

Agreed! Supes can be stern and serious when the situation calls for it, but "darker and edgier" generally means you're dealing with an evil version of Superman.
