That sounds like my mom's attitude put into words. usually she starts with "no but you don't understand..." or "because of your autism...." and what usually follows is some explanation of why she HAD to do that thing that bothers me, because I *need* her to do it..."

it is very annoying and upsetting.

Ugh, yes. That's a huge red flag that someone is about to be an interfering asshat.
