Assortment of savory snack foods, because he likes that kind of thing. I try to mix it up a bit every year and include something new or unusual. International markets are great for this, so are Trader Joe's and Aldi.

my dad loves hot sauces so I got him several unusual ones from this Mexican market near where I used to work.

I got my dad some headphones. And my brother got him a fitness tracker. Mom said she bought him saw blades for his table saw.

My mother and I got him a nice bookshelf with glass doors for his Scotch collection. I also got him a pair of headphones.

Costco sells these amazing sherpa lined throw blankets that are so warm and snuggly. I'm getting one each for both my parents, and maybe some coffee and tea to go with it.

Nothing this year. He said he'd be happy if I spent my money on gas and drove up to spend the holidays with him, so that's what I'm going to do.
