3. As the person who did the yaoi version of this...that's okay, different strokes for different folks. I've never been much for the default man + woman = babies ships either.

Do you find you look at some of the same dynamics though? I'm not a Shuichi kind of person, whether or not it is a male or female character, but I like the strong, silent, background character standing behind the spotlight character type regardless of gender. Unfortunately I can't get any more detailed without revealing who I am. Damn rare ships!

I do, actually. . .I tend to like the ships involving one or more emotionally unavailable characters. . .competitive complicated relationships. Unfortunately, these don't seem to happen as canon pairings a lot (at least in the fandoms I'm into.)

I can see how yaoi OR het exclusively could get on a person's nerves--I don't care for shipping every person with another person by default, or these ridiculous 'just because they're hot' ships with no background in canon whatever, regardless of gender, either. :)

1. God, I wish they would just cancel it. I didn't mind it until all that I started to see at anime cons was KH cosplay and mainly Org XIII cosplay. And the fact that y! gallery is a cesspool of bad AxelxRoxas porn.

2. I think as long as you yourself can justify it was being more than just person a and person b are hot and in the same series and therefore should have hot sex 95% of the time, then go for it. But, yanno if that's your only reasoning behind a pairing, I will and have in the past asked people to give me a valid reason aside from it being 'hot'.

5 - not only do I agree, but the same thing happened with me. That man changed the way I look at life, and I'm a better person for playing that game. Fuck yes, I think it's better than TotA, despite it's flaws (and yeah, there are a lot).
