I do, actually. . .I tend to like the ships involving one or more emotionally unavailable characters. . .competitive complicated relationships. Unfortunately, these don't seem to happen as canon pairings a lot (at least in the fandoms I'm into.)

I can see how yaoi OR het exclusively could get on a person's nerves--I don't care for shipping every person with another person by default, or these ridiculous 'just because they're hot' ships with no background in canon whatever, regardless of gender, either. :)
