complain about fandom things

I don't want to hear about Voltron fandom ever again for the entire rest of my life. Everything I hear about Voltron fandom is someone in Voltron fandom calling someone else in Voltron fandom evil. Just get it the hell out of here.

LOL. It was my favorite cartoon when I was a kid. I haven't watched the new one but it amazes me how people get so toxic over it.

Even though they never engaged with the drama, i'm glad most people I follow have left it behind.

I'm *confused* by it. Here all along i've thought Voltron was the...big robots? But it's not?

Big robots? Could that be Gundam Wing?

Dude, at this point, I just have *no* clue.

I'll try and keep it short so my fannishness doesn't confuse things (I fell in love with the original in the '80's and enjoy the current Netflix reboot).

"Voltron" is one big robot made up of five smaller lion-shaped robots. The individuals shippers primarily go crazy about are the pilots of those five lions. There's a black, red, blue, green, and yellow lion. All the pilots are teenagers/young adults. Which leads to lots of shipping and wank bait.

That's the very generic, mostly spoiler-free explanation. :)

But your explanation is awesome, and i can understand wanting to ship lion robot pilots. Sounds neat!

The debate over big titty video game bunny furry is killing me for a multiple amount of reasons

a) the screenshot used is a shitty one
b) there are definitely better ways to make designs but removing both the big titties and bunny misses the point of the design (big titties with bunny flavor)
c) everybody's so hypocritical about when and where sex appeal is okay, ffs

For the record, I am always okay with fictional sexual objection (and would argue that the nature of sexual attraction is inherently objectifying) even if that means alienating potential audiences. IMO the biggest issue is that it's too lopsided and there's not enough works with deemphasized sex, not that it's inherently wrong.

I'm getting back into Minecraft after years away and I started a new world with the intention to check out all the new stuff that's been added.

I spawned on fucking awesome little island, not too far from a mountain biome with every kind of animal, with a fucking WATER TEMPLE a few chunks over. Beating a water dungeon was one of the new things I wanted to do. It's, like, the ideal fucking spawn.

Except those goddamn water temple eyeball things keep attacking all the squids everywhere, which means every time I'm wandering around my island paradise there's this constant background of PHfwooooozhgh noises. Continuously. Why are these things so loud?

I read an absolutely terrible fic today that was an obvious woobifying of the favorite while needlessly villainizing everyone else as being SO MEAN to Fave in a way that was OOC for all characters involved. It had several pages of comments.

I have reached a point where I either

a) walk away, bc wtf am i reading, who are these people? Are we all partaking of the same media?
b) I can't look away. What a piece of shit, but I can't look away. Especially if the writing and premise is pretty good (if it's too OOC I leave, but sometimes...)

The comments...I don't even bother looking at those.

It was a short fic and I had nothing else to do on my phone while standing in line, and it still was a waste of time, lol.
