I’m surprised someone else knows and hates this song. I’ve never heard it on the radio, only in a store.

Though if we’re going for “songs that get played at Christmas that are way too goddamn Christian,” I’d have to go with Faith of Our Fathers. This is the song fundamentalists hear playing in their heads when they defend their right to refuse to sell wedding cakes to gay people.

fun fact, the first person to popularize it (at least getting charting), Michael English, got run out of the christian music industry in the 90s for having an affair.

I love the instrumental music. I like the vocals when it is sung properly. I hate the lyrics.
