Every time there's a secret or a comment about how someone has had a bad experience on tumblr (or wherever), there's always people that feel the need to comment about how that's not their experience and often with the implication that the person who had the bad experience must be doing something wrong. Like they cannot fathom how others could have a different experience, even though they are probably into different things and are following different people.

Well, not everyone knows all the features available to them for avoiding wank on Tumblr. I mean, I'm in Supernatural fandom and my dash is blissfully wank-free because I'm choosy about who I follow and I make judicious use of Tumblr Savior.

AYRT: I find it off-putting when commenters accuse people of doing something wrong when they say they had a bad experience on Tumblr.

You: Okay, but have you considered you're doing something wrong?

Me: Okay, but have you considered there might be information you don't have that could solve your problem and people are trying to help?

I'm going to try and help you by telling you that what you're doing doesn't come across as helpful at all. It comes across as condescending and dismissive.
