Have you ever given a speech on something fandom related?
Has anyone else given a speech to a group on something related to fandom?

I spoke for around twenty minutes about the terms, intricacies, and franchise history of Monster High in college.

Anyway, I think a speech on themes of hope in Tolkien's works sounds kick-ass.
ETA: Forgot to mention, in my anthro class on monster mythology a few years ago, we were assigned a group project discussing various monsters as they appear in media. I was in the werewolf group, and my part of the presentation was on the werewolves in The Elder Scrolls, specifically Skyrim. It remains one of only two group projects I've ever actually enjoyed.
